Description
Everything you need for Veterans Day! This activity pack includes seven short reading passages that teach students about Veterans Day and the five branches of the US military.
The passages are available in differentiated options:
*Full size classroom posters in color or black and white
*Four to a page to make a student booklet in color or black and white
*QR code task cards that link to each passage as a Google doc in color or black and white
Also included:
*Note taking sheet
*Menu choice for students to choose from five differentiated projects
*Acrostic poem sheets: VETERAN or HERO
*Brochure to fill in including each branch of the military
*Write a letter to a veteran
*Make a card for a veteran
*Why are veterans heroes? Writing prompt
Bulletin board letters in two versions included: Honoring Our Veterans. There is a black version to print or a white version to use colored paper.
You can have students choose from the menu or have students complete each project throughout the week.
All informational passages and activities are included as digital slides for students to complete as well. You can choose to assign as printable or digital slides.
This is a great way to keep students engaged while teaching about the importance of Veterans Day!
