An excellent resource to supplement my writing units. I don’t use the lessons with fidelity; however, the book recommendations for mini lessons as well as the graphic organizers are SO HELPFUL! These units are filled with great ideas to make teaching writing more manageable, successful, and engaging. Thank you!

Thank you so much for this resource. My class needs more structure within the workshop model, more support. I am using this to build on each genre taught this year to give my students more concrete lessons, specific graphic organizers and charts…I really appreciate all of the effort you put into creating this. Thank you, too, for the supplemental resources in the drive.

  16. Patricia I. –

A comprehensive writing unit that covers the full spectrum of the writing process, from brainstorming and drafting to revising and publishing, can be an incredibly effective way to cultivate students’ proficiency and confidence as writers. Such a unit, which typically includes explicit instruction, guided practice, and opportunities for independent application, equips learners with the necessary skills, strategies, and mindsets to approach writing tasks with increased purpose, structure, and creativity, ultimately preparing them to communicate their ideas more effectively in a variety of academic and real-world contexts.

  17. Stef C. –

Great resource, easy to prep and follow. My students enjoyed using it

  18. Kelly M. –

Well thought out. My students enjoyed creating their own writers notebooks. We use composition notebooks and it would be great to have the pages scaled to fit.

  19. Teaching With Teshia –

This resource was a life saver for me. My students were having difficulty with writing in general. This made it so easy for my students to see the difference in the different writing pieces.

  20. kaelee S. –

Myself and my students have loved using this resource so far! I was really struggling at the beginning of the year knowing how to approach and pace writers workshop lessons, and this resource has been a life saver! It has everything laid out wonderfully, and the lessons have been engaging for my students. I appreciate that there are so many resources included as part of the writing package. The mentor texts suggested are wonderful and tie very closely to exactly what we are learning about (though some can be challenging to find). Overall, this is a great resource that I would recommend to anyone.
