  1. Carolyn J. –

This is going to be the perfect resource to use with my EFLs. They aren’t taught how to write here, let alone in English. Most of my students’ writing is quite awful in every sense, so my plan is to turn them into good writers this year.

What I most like about this packet is that it’s split up into mini-lessons by genre and everything is all set up for me. All I need to do is review my lesson for the day and I’m ready to go! There’s even a list of the materials needed for each lesson! Talk of making my life easier!

Everything looks rigorous and clear. Students should do very well working with this amazing resource. All those extras (posters, anchor charts, etc) complete the set.

These kids are going to be really proud of their work and hopefully, that will motivate them to do more!

Thank you for such an awesome resource!

    • TLB –

Thank you so much for such kind and thoughtful feedback, Carolyn. It truly means so much to me and I’m so, so happy this will be so helpful for you and your students. I hope you have a great year!

  2. The Language Learning Cottage –

I am using this with my ESOL students. I love that it has mentor text for different grade levels.

  3. All Things NEW –

This resource is amazing to use with my students for writer’s workshop.

  4. barbara stephens S. –

    Fantastic resource.

  5. Casey S. –

IN LOVE WITH THIS! Best purchase ever. When the school year began, my 5th graders didn’t like the idea of me reading aloud, BUT now they are so eager to see what book we are reading! I love how I get that time with the students in each lesson and there is always a reference point to fall back on. These recommended books align so well. The lessons are scaffolding and give the student ample amounts of opportunity to learn and remediate before evaluation. I wouldn’t want to teach writing with any other resource!

  6. Toria H. –

    Wonderful resource, thank you!

  7. Alexis G. –

  9. Andrea Anderson –

By far the best money I’ve ever spent on TPT! An amazing resource for highly engaging writing work. Perfect setup for writing from Day 1.

  10. Wiley Teaching –

This has been so helpful with teaching writing and using writer’s workshop.

  11. Kelsey M. –

I enjoyed using this resource, writing to me has been very intimidating to teach. I found this resource helped me focus on specifics to teach. I used this resource for grade 2, I did have to make some little modifications. I look forward to using this resource again next year.

I do wish this resource had digital student notebook pages.

  12. Kari Hunter –

Thank you for the time and effort put into this thorough resource.

  13. Kimberly M. –

I use this resource throughout the entire school year because it almost PERFECTLY aligns with my curriculum and the standards addressed! I love all of the materials that are provided and all of the information that is given to make teaching a breeze!

  14. Erin B. –

Easy to use. Very well planned.

  15. Brenda F. –

    Excellent resource!

  16. Amanda L. –

My students loved using this resource. It was so easy to get started and required very little prep time! I love this! Thank you!

  17. Cynthia S. –

If you’re looking for a comprehensive, print and go resource to your writer’s workshop this is it! This resource had everything laid out for the writing process for each type of writing genre. I especially liked the anchor chart suggestions and mini-posters that students could glue in their writing journals.

Since teaching writing was not one of my stronger skills, this resource helped me so much in implementing a writer’s workshop. I wasn’t able to use all of the items in this resource because it has so much good stuff! I will be using more of this resource this year during my writer’s workshop.

The only setback to this resource was that it wasn’t easy to use for my at-home students so I had to adapt them for digital use for my at-home students. Hopefully they can be updated so that they can be used in digital format.

  18. Tara B. –

This resource has everything you need for writer’s workshop! I love it and can’t wait to use it this upcoming school year. Do you by chance have a blog or a page where I can learn more about your writing program?

    • TLB –

Thanks so much, Tara!! My site is twolittlebirdsteaching.com and there’s also a free guide in the bundle all about using “Write On Point” that you can download.

  19. Will B. –

I loved the flipbooks. It made it easy for my students to organize their work.

  20. Kali Kinder Krew –
