As a teacher, summer is a precious time to relax and unwind after a long school year. Here are ways you can prepare for the upcoming academic year in a fun and stress-free way.
#1 Store School Ideas on Your Phone
Reflect on the past academic year and use your phone’s note app to store ideas on what worked and what may be improved. Jot down any new ideas that pop into your head or when you are using social media to help give you inspiration for next year. Organize these notes into categories for easy access later.
#2 Watch Educational YouTube Videos
Watch YouTube videos on just about any subject you would like to improve on for the coming school year. Be sure to subscribe to channels that are particularly helpful.
#3 Make an Amazon Wishlist
Have fun browsing through thousands of school supplies and books for your classroom and add your favorites to your Amazon Wishlist. This wishlist may then be shared with parents at the start of the school year. You may not receive everything on your wishlist, but there may be one, two, or more things that you no longer have to buy with your hard-earned money.
#4 Enjoy Reading Blog Posts
There is a wealth of information from teacher bloggers. I am part of Teacher Talk, a group of blogging buddies who are members of The Best of Teacher Entrepreneurs Marketing Cooperative. Each blog post offers ideas that you may be perfect for your classroom. The blog posts may also include links to products from their TeachersPayTeachers stores to help you implement their ideas.
