This student led webquest will take students through a variety of websites to research Martin Luther King Jr. and his life. Student friendly sites include songs, read aloud stories, biographies, facts, and more. YouTube links are shared through a Safe Share site and without popups.
There is a choice of using Symbaloo tiles where students can click on each site, QR codes to lead students through the webquest, or a link to a digital notebook that includes the links on each digital slide; the choice can be yours, or your students.
While students navigate their way through the websites, there is a research booklet that includes vocabulary, a timeline, interesting facts and a favorite quote section for students to complete. There are also follow up activities that include a student poster, a writing activity, a foldable book with short writing prompts, a prewriting page with good paper, and an acrostic poem.
