Are you ready to launch writing workshop in your classroom? This unit has everything that you need for the first weeks of writing workshop and beyond!
This unit includes:
*10 step by step lessons to launch writing workshop and introduce the writing process to your students. Each lesson includes a mini lesson with suggested mentor text, independent writing, and shared writing. Anchor chart pieces, writer’s notebooks, conferencing labels and sticky notes, writing process flipbook and foldable book, writing goal page, writing portfolio cover and table of contents, and heart map are included.
*Writing process posters and student flip cards (flip cards will fit in Target Dollar Spot adhesive labels but can also easily be put on a small ring).
*Revising and editing tools include helpful bookmarks, labels to keep tools such as colored pencils and highlighters, and spider legs for students to use while revising.
*Labels for student folders: students name, what I’m working on, and writing tools.
*Individual spelling dictionary for students to keep track of easily misspelled words.
*Paper for published work: 20 lined pages with 20 coordinated unlined pages for writing and illustrations of published work.
*Suggested writing celebrations: six suggested ways to celebrate student writing with a countdown to publishing included. Everything you need for each celebration from invitations, to numbers and group feedback notes are included.
*Tear away writing prompts for free writing time (75 prompts included)
*Extra mini lesson ideas: generating writing ideas and paragraph building
