Description
Students will love creating a paper bag book to share their “most thankful things” for Thanksgiving. This book includes pages for family, friends, school, me, and a blank page for students to fill in too.
This is a great way for students to discuss non-material things that they are thankful and a great memento to send home to families.
It will be updated for the current year by November 1st each year.

The Thanksgiving Writing Activity: Paper Bag Book was helpful because it offered students a hands‑on, interactive way to organize and share their writing. The paper‑bag format created built‑in pockets and pages that encouraged students to sequence events, describe traditions, reflect on gratitude, or write from a creative Thanksgiving perspective. Its tactile, craft‑based structure kept young learners engaged while supporting clear writing organization and meaningful expression. Overall, this resource provided a festive, student‑friendly project that blended creativity, fine‑motor practice, and purposeful writing.
